GMR Marketing is one of the world’s largest engagement marketing agencies.[2] Headquartered in New Berlin, Wisconsin, it has 25 offices in 12 countries on four continents.[1] The firm was founded in 1979 by Gary M. Reynolds, who was credited with originating the practice of engagement marketing[3] and remains CEO/chairman of GMR Marketing. GMR’s first client was Miller Brewing Company and MillerCoors is still one of the firm’s largest clients. GMR is part of the Radiate Group, a consortium of Omnicom-owned specialty service marketing agencies.

GMR became identified by its practice of engagement or “live” marketing. Engagement marketing involves the development and operation of events that build brand relevance with consumers on a personal level by leveraging interests in sports and entertainment through interactive, face-to-face methods.[2] The company’s primary venues for brand promotions are shopping malls, temporary retail locations, concerts, sports, lifestyle events and virtual events.
